{"id":703,"date":"2026-08-08T17:50:40","date_gmt":"2026-08-08T17:50:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pamea.eu\/?p=703"},"modified":"2026-08-08T17:51:04","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T17:51:04","slug":"eco-step-project-approved-promoting-green-futures-in-higher-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pamea.eu\/index.php\/2026\/08\/08\/eco-step-project-approved-promoting-green-futures-in-higher-education\/","title":{"rendered":"ECO-STEP\u00a0Project\u00a0Approved\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0PROMOTING GREEN FUTURES IN HIGHER EDUCATION"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are pleased to announce that&nbsp;<strong>ECO-STEP \u2013 Promoting Green Futures in Higher Education<\/strong>&nbsp;has been approved for funding under the&nbsp;<strong>Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education, KA220-HED<\/strong>&nbsp;programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starting in&nbsp;<strong>December 2026<\/strong>, ECO-STEP will bring together six organisations from&nbsp;<strong>Romania<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Croatia<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Cyprus<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Belgium<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Austria<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Greece<\/strong>&nbsp;for a&nbsp;<strong>24-month<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>European collaboration<\/strong>&nbsp;focused on strengthening&nbsp;<strong>sustainability<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>green<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>digital competences<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Higher&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Education<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project responds to a clear challenge: sustainability competences need to move beyond theory and become part of practical learning, decision-making and professional preparation across different academic disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ECO-STEP<\/strong>&nbsp;will therefore develop:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an\u00a0<strong>interdisciplinary sustainability competence framework and curriculum<\/strong>, aligned with GreenComp and European skills priorities;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an interactive\u00a0<strong>Sustainability Impact Simulator<\/strong>, allowing learners to explore real-world sustainability choices, impacts and trade-offs;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a\u00a0<strong>Digital Hub of Resources<\/strong>, bringing together open educational materials, multimedia resources and interactive learning activities;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a\u00a0<strong>1-ECTS MOOC<\/strong>\u00a0supporting accessible and flexible sustainability learning;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a European collaboration network connecting higher education institutions, VET providers, public authorities, civil society and other stakeholders.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project is coordinated by the&nbsp;<strong>University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;&#8211; USAMV&nbsp;<\/strong>from<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>ROMANIA<\/strong>, together with&nbsp;<strong>University of Zagreb&nbsp;<\/strong>from<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>CROATIA<\/strong><strong>,&nbsp;University of Nicosia<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>from<strong>&nbsp;CYPRUS<\/strong><strong>,&nbsp;KMOP Policy Center<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>from<strong>&nbsp;BELGIUM<\/strong><strong>,&nbsp;PAME<\/strong><strong>A&nbsp;<\/strong>from<strong>&nbsp;AUSTRIA<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;CARDET360<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>from<strong>&nbsp;Greece<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ECO-STEP NATIONAL WORKSHOP IN AUSTRIA<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a total Erasmus+ grant of&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac250,000<\/strong>, ECO-STEP will run until&nbsp;<strong>30 November 2028<\/strong>, creating open and transferable resources designed for continued use by higher education institutions and other education and training organisations across Europe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For PAMEA, participation in ECO-STEP represents another concrete opportunity to connect&nbsp;<strong>sustainability competences, education and digital tools with real-world decision-making<\/strong>&nbsp;and to support institutions preparing learners for the green transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We look forward to starting the work with our European partners and sharing ECO-STEP\u2019s activities, resources and results as the project develops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>#ECOSTEP #ErasmusPlus #HigherEducation #GreenSkills #GreenComp #Sustainability #DigitalEducation #SustainabilityEducation #EuropeanProjects #PAMEA #GreenTransition #ErasmusPlusProjects<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that&nbsp;ECO-STEP \u2013 Promoting Green Futures in Higher Education&nbsp;has been approved for funding under the&nbsp;Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education, KA220-HED&nbsp;programme.
